Borno State Police Command has debunked the news of convoy of the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, being attacked in the North-East state.
The case was made recently by PDP tribal leader and individual from the party’s official gathering, Dino Melaye.
Melaye said Atiku’s guard was gone after when he was landing the setting of the convention in Borno State on Wednesday, November 9, adding that “more than 100 vehicles were supposedly vandalized by criminals from various ideological groups and around 74 people hospitalized.”
Responding to this, the state Police Advertising Official, ASP Sani Shatambaya said;
“The insight about the assault on Atiku Abubakar’s guard was phony as well as a bogus and wicked effort to confound Nigerians.
“There was no assault on Atiku’s escort.”
The police anyway strutted one Danladi Musa Abbas, 32, for “endeavoring to upset the escort of the official up-and-comer en route to the air terminal.”
Shatambaya said the suspect was captured with a stone and after “locating the police, he ran into a congregation where he was captured.”
The police representative added that the order is chasing after his different accessories.
